Payment and insurance information.
Basic (Dutch) insurance covers almost all dental treatments for children under 18, including check-ups, preventive treatments, fillings and root canal treatments (orthodontic treatment for children is usually not covered by the basic package). It also covers prosthetic treatments/ full dentures for adults.
Insurance companies offer a variety of dental insurance plans. You may have full or partial coverage. Please ask us to inform you on the cost of proposed treatments and the projected own costs.
In the Netherlands there is a fixed price policy regarding dental treatments. This means that every year the Dutch Healthcare Authority publishes a price list with treatment codes which you can see below. This list does not include technical costs, as these can vary from one dental laboratory to the next.
